If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!

So the little man is now 18 months old.  He had his appt today.  He is 50th percentile for his height, 85th percentile for his weight, and 75th percentile for his head circumfrence.  He’s doing well on all aspects.  He’s sleeping in the transitional bed still with no problem, he’s talking and walking/running/climbing well.  He eats well.  When she checked his ears, she could only see the ear tube in one of them.  So the other one is either gone or there’s just so much fluid in there that she can’t see it.  She did say that he had some fluid in both of his ears, so it’s possible that he could come down with another ear infection. 

Last Saturday he gave himself his first black eye!!  First, at about 7:30 that morning, he pulled down one of our dvd towers on top of himself - gave himself quite the knot on his head.  Then a couple of hours later, he was running around while carrying a toy when he fell.  The toy gashed him on the cheek right beneath his eye.  It was nice and bruised by that night.  Later that week he got bit pretty well on his arm, and then yesterday he fell and scraped the other side of his face.  I have a child that is all boy!!  He’s just non-stop pretty much.  :)  Goodness, they grow up soo fast!

Saturday morning, little man woke up about 6:45. I got up with him and decided I let hubby sleep in a while since I know he goes to bed way later than I do.  Anyway, little man is being his busy-body self just playing and running around.  I put on the Disney Channel since there wasn’t anything on worth a hoot anyway.  After a little while, he just comes up to me and with outstretched arms going “uhhh, uhhh”, meaning he wanted to get up in the chair with me.  So I pick him up and he sits with me.  Well, we sat there for about 30 mins just chillin’ and watching Pooh on TV.  It was just so sweet.  He wasn’t wiggling or anything, just wanted to sit with mama.  I’ll have to think back and remember that moment when he’s a hormone-crazed teenager.
